Workers are treated very badly especially by higher supervisors absolutely no proffesionalism, rude supervisors are promoted, polite ones are demoted, no wonder no english person wants to come anywhere close to this farm even as managers. Living conditions are no better, 6 people are cramped into a caravan designed for 3 people and the cost per person is the same as a normal single room in the city(although this is the case for most farms in England ) the law should do something about these non humane living conditions. Now lets dive more into detail about labour theft. Workers are gathered at around 5:15 am, but your paying hours dont start until you start picking strawberries which is usually about half an hour to an hour later, you might think this is logical and fair if you know nothing about the job, so let me explain. Until you start picking strawberries there is a lot of work that needs to be done all involving work equipment, then after you finish picking you also need to move some equipment for 15 to 20 minutes also not counted as labour. How can this be allowed in a first world country is a an absolute surprise to me. English farms are an island of third world exploitation inside a first world country, the reason you will only see third world workers in these farms. Third world workers are still humans inside UK and deserve correct wages for their work and humane living conditions. Their desperation shouldn't be an invitation for oppression.
